A new episode of One Piece gets another delay Episode 1151

One Piece has been getting constant delays and this isn't a new thing, almost every month there seems to be some type of delay, may it be behind the scenes issues or simply recap episode, which is very likely meant for the staff to get enough time to make a new episode.

So with the news that starting from next year April (after the 3 month break) One Piece will for the first time ever become seasonal, and it was confirmed that this will be roughly 26 episodes a year. If you think about it, it's not really more than what we getting now because of all the delays and recap episodes.

One Piece Episode 1151 Delayed

Via the X platform through One Piece's official channels @Eiichiro_Staff, it was announced that One Piece episode 1151 will unfortunately be delayed and a recap episode titled "Dr. Chopper's Adventure Checkup - The Last Records That a Genius Left Behind." will instead air on November 23, 2025.

This episode as shown in the Trailer (above) will recap the broadcast around Vegapunk

Many people aren't happy about this, but like I said, this is very likely got to do with production and the staff not being able to meet deadlines, which is frustrating but given the anime industry, we know that staff tend to work long hours with pretty much no downtime. So we should look at this in their perspective as well, Afterall we are only human.

New episode's Release dates confirmed

The next two episodes (including episode 1151) has been confirmed:

Episode 1151 titled “The Dream I Envisioned With Dad! Bonney’s Free Future” will instead be airing on November 30, 2025. And episode 1152 titled “Dad and Mom’s Feelings! Bonney’s Liberation Fist (Nika Punch)” will be airing on December 7, 2025.

This recap episode comes at a time which is peak in the current egghead arc. Bonney will gain the strength of Luffy with her Nika punch which isn't a one to one of luffys. Rather, this one uses her Age-age fruits special ability named Distorted future. This transforms her from pretty much an alternate reality where she has physical attributes which is the same as the sun god Nika. So it's more of a mimic than a true gear 5.

Given all the hype around this, I'm sure the studio did this delay to go all out on this episode, which they have shown they can easily pull this off.
