Alya sometimes hides her feelings in Russian has been popular even before the anime aired in July 2024. However since it did air, the series has skyrocketed and created a new or even bigger fandom. Season 1 concluded in September 2024 and fans have been eagerly awaiting a new season, however we do have some good news and some unfortunate news.

So the good news is that we do know that the series will broadcast in 2026, however this was announced before the latest event that broadcasted on YouTube on November 7, 2025. This event was Alya's birthday stream and took place live on YouTube at 8:00 PM JST. Unfortunately no release date was announced at this event (previous speculations were eyeing this event for a release date) However we did get a new teaser visual (below)

In the teaser visual we see Alya in her summer school uniform sitting in the ocean. This image perfectly depicts this new upcoming season which will adapt the "Summer Vacation arc", and this new season will likely adapt volumes 3 to 6 from the Light Novel.

Although we did not get any major news for the second season at least the studio is still giving us some hype between announcements.

When would we get an official release date

If the next season had to be announced, the next best place to do this would be at the Anime Japan event that will be taking place in March of 2026. Previously the studio had a dedicated stage before season 1 aired, so this will very likely be the place that the next season will be announced!
