Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 2, Date for MAJOR NEWS

Demon Slayer's part 1 film titled Infinity Castle, which is part of a 3 series line-up which will conclude the anime, has done incredibly well! The movie has also been dominating all the theatres worldwide even surpassing films like Fantastic four: First Steps and the F1 movie. It has also become the highest-grossing Japanese movie of all time, and there's also news that the president of Crunchyroll, Rahul Purini, has expressed that he will be supporting Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle in it's campaign for Oscar consideration, also for "The best animated Feature category."

So Demon slayer has passed all expectation, not only in an anime dominated country like Japan, but in the entire world which is mind blowing to even think about, as roughly 10 years ago anime was considered a niche category and now it's pretty much a trend and on par with box office films.

When can we expect the second film?

The second film has not yet been officially announced, however we might have some good news on that front. The animation studio, Studio Ufotable, could potentially announce a release date for its second part during the Jump Festa 2026. This is a 2 day anime and manga convention which is held in Tokyo by Shueisha and it focuses on titles from its magazines like the weekly shonen jump. Typically during this event we learn about new manga, anime and movies with exclusive stage events with creators and voice actors. So talking about VA's, according to the official sources, the stage presentation will feature voice actors Hiro Shimono (Zenitsu Agatsuma), Takahiro Sakurai (Giyu Tomioka), Natsuki Hanae (Tanjiro Kamado) and Saori Hayami (Shinobu Kocho). So because of this line-up, it is speculated that Ufotable could use this event to reveal updates about the remaining 2 arcs and even possibly a release date. This event will take place on December 20 - 21, 2025.

So Demon Slayer: Infinity castle part 1 was released a few months back and according to some reports the next 2 final films could potentially come in a 2 year interval, for example, if part 2 gets released in 2028, the final one would be released in 2030, and of course these dates I just mentioned is purely for an example and the next part could even arrive as early as 2026. Although there is speculation that the next one will come in 2027. Normally Demon slayer has always had a yearly release, but from the massive success of this film that was just released, it could potentially delay the next one, because the studio obviously will have to go all out with the animation since this first part was a success because of that..
