Dr. Stone releases a new teaser trailer for its final season.

Dr stone has always been there in limbo, it's one of those anime that you don't really think of until you actually watch the series. This could be because people often times when it comes to anime look for a certain type of isekai, one where a lonely unpopular person gets transported to a new fantasy word full of magic and beasts, and is overpowered. This series however takes a different approach to the isekai genre. This series follow a boy who is actually a genius. He gets stuck in time because of a mysterious light that went over the entire world and froze people in stone for 3700 years. Instead of having magic powers or being overpowered with a certain skill or level, Senku, who is the main protagonist instead has an overpowered brain, not in the true sense of inhumanly overpowered, but rather instead a real genius.

So without the romance classroom feel, like classroom of the elite for example, this one is more centred around a jungle or a very old world, which is why this series feels so niche. But because the anime is adapting all the source material, its only natural that the series is obviously getting good recognition. So the series is now on it's final season and the studio is wrapping it up with a long season which consists of 3 cours, and this unfortunately would mean that we are on the final cour that will conclude the season.

New Trailer revealed

Today on November 14, 2025 the studio just unveiled a new teaser trailer for the third cour which features some teasers for this third and final cour of the season. This video shows how good the animation will be, which comes to no surprise because the animation studio has stayed consistent this season and i have no doubt this new one will be just as good or even better than the previous ones because of course this will be the final cour. At the end of the trailer we also get a release window which is set for 2026, which isn't that far off, but unfortunately we didn't get an exact release date and the new season will also stream on Crunchyroll when it airs, same as previous cours and seasons.

When will cour 3 be released

So given that we did not recieve any new details or a more exact release window, this surely means that the studio is saving that for the next big anime event which will take place next month. This event is called the Jump Festa which is an event that showcases off anime that have been adapted from the Jump magazine and sometimes other anime will also showcase here, but overall it's mostly targeted to the magazine. Dr. Stone is confirmed to be at this event, so it's very likely that the studio is saving the next big trailer and release date for this event, because all eyes will be here and it's the perfect time to get an exact release date.
