Jujutsu Kaisen season 3 is only a few months away from the publication of this post and the fandom is more hyped now than ever, especially now that we see what's in store.

Jujutsu Kaisen will be released early

It was announced ahead of Season 3's release, a new film will be released titled: Jujutsu Kaisen Execution. This film will include scenes put together from the Shibuya incident arc which takes place in the second cour of season 2. The movie will also include the first 2 episodes of season 3 in a 90 minute movie. This new movie will first be released in Japanese theatres on November 7, 2025. Also on December 5, 2025, it will reach North American theatres.

Additionally, season 3 will start airing in January 2026, although an exact date was not revealed, and will only be available closer to the January 2026 release date. However, if we do follow the history pattern, the new season will likely be released near the beginning of this month which follows the start of the Winter anime season.

What will Season 3 be about

Season 3 is expected to carry on the story from where season 2 left off, this would include the the Itadori's Extermination and Perfect Preparation arcs leading up to the biggest arc in this season, the "Culling Games" arc. This arc covers roughly chapter 159 through to 221 of the manga, and will feature a battle royale of sorts.

Why is Jujutsu Kaisen so hyped

Jujutsu Kaisen has always been on the fore front of the "most popular anime." This series has redefined anime, similar to how Naruto, One Piece and Bleach (The big 3) inspired a whole new generation of anime. The creator of Jujutsu Kaisen, Gege Akutami has also stated on occasions that series like Hunter x Hunter, Yu Yu Hakusho and Naruto as key influences on their work and even newer manga artists have said Jujutsu Kaisen inspired them to become manga artists. So although this isn't talking about the anime, it is after all, what the anime is adapted from, very similar to any previous anime from the previous generation.

While some people did enjoy long running seasons for example the big 3 and still currently One Piece, the short seasons still pack a punch and sooner at that. For example, it takes luffy 50 plus episodes to fight the main villain of each arc, and it takes 12 episodes for the seasonal release to do something similar, but everyone their own personal preferences when it comes to seasonal releases, as their are pro's and cons in each one.
