One of Netflix's most popular anime is making a return!

Dorohedoro was one of the weirdest anime and best anime on Netflix. The series became so popular because of it's weirdness, gore and dark fantasy and compelling story, which captured a lot of fans worldwide.

The first season ended on March 29, 2020 and ran for 12 episodes. The second season was suppose to air in 2025 after it was announced in 2024, however it was soon delayed and postponed, however now we finally have a set release date and it's not that far off.

On October 10, 2025 via the anime's official X account, @dorohedoro_PR, a new visual image was revealed. The Image showcases the release year which is set for 2026 and the seasonal release which is set for Spring of 2026. Anime usually release in a fixed period of an anime cycle, typically if it's set to release in spring it will therefore be released in April (January, February, and March will be considered Winter Anime) Typically anime also release before the 10th of said season, but it's possible it can release after said date.

The Plot of the story is as follows:

The plot of Dorohedoro follows Caiman who is a man cursed by a sorcerer, resulting in a reptile's head and complete amnesia and he now has to hunt down sorcerers in the Hole, hoping to find the one responsible and reverse this curse. During this "adventure" he works together with his friend named Nikaido to recover his memories and survive in a strange and violent world.

Dorohedoro is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Q Hayashida. It was serialized in Shogakukan's manga magazines Monthly Ikki in November 2000 to September 2014 and in the Monthly Shōnen Sunday from November 2017 to September 2018 and its chapters were collected in 23 tankōbon volumes.
