One punch man season 3 finally aired today on Crunchyroll, after almost 6 years since we seen an episode. Going into One punch man season 3, my expectations were low, because after all, we didn't get a full on trailer which actually shows the fight scenes animation, but still, I didn't expect the very first episode to be this bad, normally shows highlight their first episode to engage viewers for the rest of the season, so if it started out like this, what can we expect for the rest of season 3
Season 3 Episode 1 Review - A Total Flop!

One Punch Man season 3 had all the right ingredients for a success, we have the manga that's massively successful, we have previous seasons which are again, "massively successful". That means they have the audience, all they had to do was produce an anime worthy of the manga, that's all! From the first episode it felt like a glorified coloured manga panel. There was hardly any moving animation, when the characters spoke, they were frozen in place and only the mouth, jaw and the side of the face was moving, it looked very odd to say the least. The most animation was in a scene where Garou was walking, and this scene was not synced well, the walls moved slower than the character was walking. So even though this was a non-action episode, it should've been easy to animate this! After an hour after watching the episode I still can't grasp the fact that a studio of that success can produce an anime this bad.
What Was Good About This Episode?
There isn't much to say in terms of goodness as you need to judge an anime as a whole, so I would say this episode is a complete and utter flop. However if we had to nit pick on what was actually good, I would say that the anime or artwork was very in line with the manga and don't get mixed up with animation and artwork, I'm specifically talking about the artwork itself. The anime's first episode is a one to one with the manga, however like I said earlier, the first episode looked like a glorified manga panel. So although this episode was a let down, there could possibly be some hope for the rest of the season and I'm just hoping that they were just focusing their budget on the fight scenes because if we look at the opening, it was pretty good I'm not going to lie and for now i can only judge the season on episode 1 but I'm hoping it will get better, but as of now the 3rd season is sitting on a solid 2/10 for me, and that's being generous.
