Oshi no Ko Season 3 Finally Announced a Release Date!

Oshi no Ko has always been a fan favorite ever since its publication in April 2020. The anime adaptation is no exception because as soon as the first Season aired in April 2024, it was a massive success! The adaptation set records for popular platforms such as HIDIVE for the #1 series launched, and this in turn significantly boosted the manga even further.

The story is praised for its visuals and storytelling in the Japanese idol industry. Not to mention the dark themes surrounding the show, Afterall the premise is about a popular idol who gets murdered by a stalker! The second season was widely considered a good adaptation, especially for its story writing and the 2.5D Stage Play arc which is also known as the Tokyo Blade arc. This arc covered manga chapters 41 to 66, with some additional chapters from the subsequent Private arc included in the latter part of the season. So now finally we will be able to see the next season and the date is MUCH CLOSER than we all think.

Season 3's Release Date Is Around the Corner

On September 14, 2025 at the TV Anime Oshi no Ko Kanto Noryo Matsuri which is a two-day summer festival held at the Tokorozawa Sakura Town complex in Saitama, Japan, more information was finally revealed for Oshi no Ko Season 3! It was officially announced that the third season will be airing in January of 2026, this is massive news for fans as the line up for january was already huge, we have titles like Jujutsu Kaisen season 3, Frieren season 2, Fireforce, Hells Paradise season 2 and now Oshi no Ko! So the winter season of 2026 anime is going to be legendary to say the least.

On the official post via Oshi no Ko's official X account, it stated "In January 2026, the story enters a new stage" this is teasing the new arc for the next season titled the "Mainstay arc"

Additionally, new cast members were announced:

• Yōji Ueda as Tetsu Urushibara

• Yuto Takenaka as Shun Yoshizumi.

What Will Happen in Season 3

Season 3 of Oshi no Ko is expected to cover the Mainstay Arc and the Scandal Arc, with the possibility of the Movie Arc being included if the season is extended. This new season will continue focusing on Ruby's rise in the entertainment industry and Aqua's continued investigation into their mother's murder.
