Solo Leveling will get a new anime movie to rival Demon Slayer!

Solo leveling has been a huge success. From the Manwha to the anime series, the fandom now is bigger than ever before. While season 1 did deliver, it doesn't hold a candle to season 2! This is where the franchise really took off.

A new movie is in the works

While this isn't the news everyone was expecting, its good news none the less. A lot people were hoping for some news on season 3, but now apparently that isn't the committee's goal for now. Today it was announced (unofficial) that Solo leveling will receive a new anime movie and is expected to arrive sometime in 2026 or early 2027 (wide speculation). This news came after a recent report from the committee for the series. It was also reported that this decision was allegedly made so that a new movie could rival Demon Slayer's new Infinity Castle theatrical film and this makes complete sense as the movie has become a massive success and has now even passed the avengers movie which is mind blowing being that anime is more of a niche than Hollywood films.

What will this new film be about

If the new movie is in production this could go in either 2 directions. The first would be a side story which is very unlikely if the studio wants to rival a series like Demon Slayer's movie which is in fact canon to the story. So this would mean that the new Solo leveling movie would most likely need to adapt the next arc in solo leveling. This arc would likely include the Recruitment arc and the Ahjin Guild arc which would make sense as these two arcs are focused on one thing, "a guild."

The recruitment arc is very short and only 2 chapters long. This arc is more of a slice of life breather after the bloodbath of the Jeju Island arc that concluded the second season. Although this arc isn't without it's power scaling teases, Afterall this is "Solo Leveling."

The Ahjin Guild arc is where Jinwoo officially launches his guild which only has 3 people. This arc has a lot of fighting. Jinwoo even showcases his power in front of his sister who gets attacked by orcs in her school.

So if this new movie adapts the Manwha, we will be in for a big surprise and given it will be a theatrical movie, I have no doubt the fight scenes will be bigger than season 2 and will likely be able to even rival Demon slayer.
