Cozy fantasy isekai's are hard come by now a days, because of the sheer number of anime adaptation. There's so many to choose from, and it's so over saturated that it feels hard to find a diamond among the rough. The Weakest Tamer Began a Journey however is one such anime. I'd may not be as big as Frieren or Jujutsu Kaisen, but it does have a dedicated audience and a fairly large one which is constantly growing because the publisher revealed that the light novel has surpassed 2 million copies and in this field is a large feat to say the least.

The reason for anime adaptation is the heighten these numbers, this is kind of how the series or franchise monetises their anime. This boosts the number of light novel sales and also merchandise and now and then they will throw in a theatre film to profit off the theatres, but seasonally they see the least profit specifically for the seasonal anime but I'm not an expert in this side (sales)

So given that the light novel is doing so well this news comes to no surprise:

On December 10, 2025, via the studios official X account (@saijakutamer) it was announced that season 2 of Weakest Tamer Began a Journey to Pick Up Trash has been confirmed!

Unfortunately as of now we didn't get anything else such as release dates, even a trailer, but given that the last time this account posted was back in 2024, and now only we start seeing post's being retweeted and posted, I'm pretty sure we will get a ton of more news in the coming weeks and months till the release date.
