Asa’s Cute Yin-Yang Daemons Actually One of the Strongest Tsugai?

Asa is one of the main protagonists in the series and is Yuru's sister. These twins are known as the "children who sunder day and night," which basically means they are fated to rule over all Daemons. We can think of them as the admins of sorts over daemons, meaning they can sort of break rules and enforce more with other special abilities such as break or seal.

Yin-Yang's contract with Asa came in a way that is rare in this story. As I said, these prophesied twins possess certain abilities. Asa possesses the ability called Break, which can shatter a contract between another human and their daemon. Asa used this ability to break another character's original contract with this daemon (Yin-Yang) and claimed it as her own. The question is why would she do this? Is this the strongest Daemon?
The Moment Asa Claimed Yin-Yang
Asa acquired this pair during an attack on the Kagemori Manor, which serves as the main base for the Kagemori clan which is a group of powerful Daemon users. This group becomes guardians of sorts to Asa, as she is an important figure, as I mentioned earlier.
Being that she's an important figure, it was a given that people would try to attack in order to capture her to obtain the Break ability.
During this attack, Asa used her Break ability (also known as Kai) to steal the Yin-Yang Daemon pair from Keiichi Hamura, who was present. However, she actually did this out of necessity, not to specifically take the Daemons for herself. Little did she know, this pair was one of the strongest.
One of the Most Powerful Daemons
These Daemons rank so high on the "list" because of their versatility and utility. What do I mean by this? Well, they can merge into one single massive creature that generates a domain of sorts, or even a barrier. This creates an internal pocket dimension with what I would assume is an unlimited storage space for objects and people, which is only accessible with Asa's explicit permission. This would make it the perfect ability for trapping enemies or even transporting people or things safely.
Ultimately, this Daemon is a strong but less flashy one, especially when compared to Yuru's Daemon. But what this one lacks in flashy skills, it makes up in a perfect balance of things, just as the name implies, yin-yang. It's a barrier-based isolation that acts both as a defensive ability and an attack one which stores the enemy.

When separate, the two, Ohagi (small black one) and Daifuku (small white one) mainly stay looking cute, and let's be honest, surely no one minds that. When they are in separate forms, they mostly stay out of the way during fights and can each create smaller barrier spaces for trapping and storing things individually and can work together teleporting people or objects in and out of their pocket dimensions on command.
Mainly, we can think of them as fast support for quick extractions and can set up traps faster when they aren't combined.

The Pros and Cons of the Yin-Yang Daemon
While this pair is extremely strong in their own way such as bear unlimited storage, flexible trapping, they do have some downsides.
These Daemons lack flashy attacks such as no energy blasts of heavy physical power. But more importantly, strong opponents can damage them because the barrier that they use is linked to the daemons.
The barrier is a sort of enclosed domain spatial field that is generated and maintained as the pair. It functions like a controlled battlefield or dimension.
Are Yin-Yang the Strongest Daemon?
While the Yin-Yang stands out as the most versatile such as being used in and out the field, they're not necessarily the strongest pair overall. Their true strength lies in control, containment and support. Ultimately whether the Yin-Yang pair ranks as the strongest depends highly on which type of battle power we are talking about. On field and direct fighting, no. However for their support and off field help, yes they thrive in that field.
If we get down to the gritty, the most powerful Daemon in my opinion has got to be Left and Right, Yurus Daemon pair.

Overall, the series is just perfect, and now with the adaptation it feels even more immersive on the screen. The strong points of this series is undoubtedly the bond between the siblings, Yuru and Asa. The Daemons add an extra layer to this. While Asa's Daemons aren't exactly the strongest, they come in handy plenty of times.
In the end, they shine brightest as support and control. While they have clear limitations, their utility makes up for that in spades. Honestly, the story wouldn't be the same without this pair. As the story continues, you'll fall in love with them as they are a big part moving forward. — Dean
