Rimuru’s Faithful Attendant Testarossa Stands Against the Ancient Primordial Demon, Misery

Chapter 141 of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime really stood on its own, with Rimuru's faithful attendant and one of the Primordials, Testarossa, showed how much power Rimuru holds in this world.

The Council couldn't believe their eyes after witnessing another "god" being so easily shaken off by one of Rimuru's underlings. This was truly one of those chapters that stood out even though Rimuru was hardly seen in this chapter and it's one of those reads that I will always remember, it leaves you ending the chapter with that feeling of "wow, that was short".

Who is Testarossa and How Did She Become Rimuru’s Faithful Attendant?

Testarossa is one of the Primordial Demons, more specifically the Primordial White who was originally known as Blanc. We first heard this name in Season 3 when Diablo confronted the previous king of Falmuth. During that episode, trained demon hunters tried to restrain Diablo, and one of them reacted by saying something along the lines of “Do you think casually mentioning Blanc will do anything?”

Testarossa did not start out as Rimuru’s subject. Rather, Diablo invited her and two other Primordials to Tempest, but they came mostly out of curiosity and to repay a favor to Diablo. Upon meeting Rimuru, they tested him and were impressed by his composure and hidden strength. Almost immediately after this, Rimuru accepted them and gave each of them a name. Rimuru named Blanc Testarossa, which dramatically boosted her power and evolved her into a high-ranking Demon Lord. This was the exact turning point that made their bond with him stronger.

Testarossa now serves as Rimuru’s absolutely loyal and capable attendant, and Rimuru gave her high-ranking roles in Tempest:

  • Minister of Foreign Affairs & Military Attache (Diplomatic Military Officer): She handles Tempest’s international relations, acts as Rimuru’s representative, and speaks on his behalf in foreign affairs.

  • Ambassador to the Council of the West: She represents Tempest at the Western Nations Council, negotiates treaties, blocks political schemes (like those from the Rozzo Family), and protects Tempest’s interests among human nations.

  • Leader of the Black Numbers: Along with Ultima and Carrera, she co-leads this elite demon unit under Diablo. The Black Numbers serve as Rimuru’s special forces for intelligence, assassination, and high-stakes operations.

  • Member of the Twelve Guardian Lords: One of Rimuru’s strongest direct subordinates (often called the Killer Lord or Massacre King due to her ruthless combat reputation).

During Chapter 141 at the Council, the Council learns of a demon invasion and asks Testarossa if she would lead a force to deal with them. After all, Tempest had already come into an agreement that it would take on any forces that attempts to invade any country in the alliance. Testarossa replies with the statement, "My master has ordered me to defend all the nations that belong to the Council of the West. Do not despair." This was one of those chilling moments when those loyal to Rimuru brag about him, and honestly these moments are why many of us watch the series or read the manga.

However, things become complicated once Testarossa points out someone who is an underling of Granbell. He was trying to commit treason by talking to someone on a magic call, and had sent out a call to have the nation’s barrier destroyed. This all leads up to this underling of Granbell and his band of mercenaries summoning who they believe to be their god, but in actual fact they summoned the Primordial named Misery, who serves under Guy Crimson.

Testarossa sends out a blast of power, and Misery blocks it. Misery says that her mission was only to stir up trouble. However, she notices that Testarossa, who she knew as Blanc, is heading the Council for Rimuru and says, "I must tell Guy about this bombshell as soon as possible," referring to all that’s going on. This ended the chapter with her leaving without a fight. This gave chilling moments and goosebumps from beginning to end.

What started out as a simple chapter in the series turned out to be one of my favorite ones that don't involve Rimuru himself. The setup was perfect for the story to introduce Misery into the open against one of the Primordials who now serves Rimuru.

Testarossa also showed her true self as Rimuru's loyal attendant, and she takes her role seriously as the Minister of Foreign Affairs. Truly one of those chapters that I will always remember! — Dean
